All Pitt faculty, staff and instructors are invited to join the 13th annual Assessment and Teaching Conference on Oct. 17, sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the University Center for Teaching and Learning.

The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Connolly Ballroom in Alumni Hall. The keynote presentation also will be accessible via livestream, and there will be in-person and virtual breakout sessions.

The event will showcase the work of Pitt community members whose teaching, learning and assessment activities ethically and effectively address or integrate generative artificial intelligence.

The keynote panel will focus on “Framing Approaches to Teaching and Assessing with AI.” It will highlight examples of the ways that Pitt faculty and leaders are reshaping programs at Pitt in response to GenAI’s growing influence in higher education, as well as inviting participants to consider what teaching and assessment should look like as higher education continues to adapt to an AI-driven future.
