Thasunda Brown Duckett, CEO of retirement assets management company TIAA, will visit the University of Pittsburgh on Sept. 5 to speak with students, staff, faculty and executives.

She was invited to the Oakland campus by Chancellor Joan Gabel and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher Jr. 

TIAA is plan administrator for the University's retirement plans, which impact thousands of Pitt employees and their families. The company is currently ranked No. 96 on the Fortune 500 list of U.S. companies by revenue. Duckett often speaks publicly on the topics of retirement security for women and other historically underserved communities and is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades.

While in Pittsburgh, Duckett will participate in several group events, as well as meeting with Gabel. Details on her visit are still being finalized and will be announced shortly.
