Bobbi Watt Geer, president and CEO of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, will speak as part of the Frances Hesselbein Lecture Series from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 8 at Hillman Library.

Geer has worked for more than 35 years in the nonprofit sector, including several leadership positions within United Way — senior vice president of administration and CEO of the former United Way of Westmoreland County — and as the president of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.

She earned a doctorial degree in public administration and public policy in 2009 from Pitt’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and her master's degree in nonprofit management from Robert Morris University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
