Staff Council Events

We plan events throughout the year focused on staff priorities and interests, including two ongoing series featuring University leadership. Events are open to all staff.

Coffee and Conversations

This series features interviews with University leadership about challenges, choices, and lessons that shaped their paths to leadership. It also offers an in-person opportunity to connect with fellow staff.

Spotlight Sessions

This series provides leadership perspectives on topics and initiatives that matter most to staff. Each session offers insights, dialogue, and connection around the issues shaping our campus community as well as an opportunity for Q&A.

Join us for an upcoming event:

• Sept. 6: Staff Council Tailgate — Pitt vs. Central Michigan (in-person). 10 a.m., tailgate; Noon, kickoff (game tickets not required to attend the tailgate). Acrisure Stadium, Great Lawn

• Sept. 12: Staff Council Spotlight: Laurel Gift, assistant vice chancellor for compliance, investigations & ethics chief privacy officer (virtual). Noon-1 p.m. via Zoom

• Sept. 15: Staff Council: Coffee and Conversations with Adam Lee, vice provost for undergraduate studies (in-person), 11:30 a.m.-noon, Cathedral of Learning, Room 501

• Oct. 3: Staff Council Spotlight: Maggie Weaver, senior marketing director of Chartwell's Higher Ed (virtual), noon-1 p.m. via Zoom

• Oct. 6: Staff Council: Coffee and Conversations with Dwayne Pinkney, executive senior vice chancellor for administration & finance and CFO (in-person), 9:30-10 a.m., Cathedral of Learning, Room 501

• Oct. 15: Staff Council General Meeting (virtual), noon-1 p.m. via Zoom
