Swanson School will host Kyaien Conner for Black History Month event

The Swanson School of Engineering will host a Black History Month event on Feb. 25.

Kyaien Conner, director of the Center on Race and Social Problems and associate dean for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in the School of Social Work, will present The Science of Sankofa: Celebrating Black History Through Cultural Knowledge and Innovative Research.” Her talk will explore how cultural wisdom and research intersect to honor Black history and inform meaningful change.

The event, part of a century of Black History commemorations, will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at 102 Benedum Hall. There will be opportunities for an audience Q&A. Lunch will be provided.
