The Office of Planning, Design and Construction is currently offering two surveys as part of their 2025 Campus Master Plan preparations. The office is strongly encouraging participation to help create a plan that serves the needs of the overall campus community. The surveys will allow the team to gain insight into faculty, staff, student and community experiences.

Campus Survey — Open to the general community. The interactive map allows participants to show their routes across campus, pinpoint favorite locations, and highlight goals for the future of campus. Participants may add comments to elaborate on these markups.

The survey asks participants to show where they currently eat, study, recreate and more, and where they would like to do these things. It also asks where you consider the heart of campus, where you see need for improvement and where there are accessibility barriers.

Three recent campus forums at William Pitt Union, Scaife Hall and Petersen Events Center also sought input on these questions.

Collaboration Survey — Exclusive to Pitt faculty and staff, this survey asks people how they work across the Oakland campus. Participants pinpoint where there work is based and the departments they collaborate with most frequently or ones they wish to work with. This survey with show the Office of Planning, Design and Construction how faculty and staff use campus spaces.

Both surveys, which are being administered through a partnership with Sasaki and Associates, will be available now through Sept. 30. Please direct any questions to ccy10@pitt.edu.
