School of Medicine partners with Scientist.com

The Pitt School of Medicine has partnered with Scientist.com to connect the website’s biotech and pharmaceutical researchers with the school’s translational research services “to lower barriers to innovation and bring new cures to market,” says Rebecca Bagley, Pitt’s vice chancellor for economic partnerships.

Scientist.com, a top scientific services outsourcing marketplace, will bring medical companies together with Pitt’s capabilities in computational modeling for pharmacology, drug target discovery services and translational technology development. Through this new partnership – the first of its kind at Pitt – the University will offer fee-for-service access to its faculty and facilities to new health care industry partners.

This new partnership will give industry participants access to the University’s expertise, instruments and applications.
