Letter to the editor: Thank you for supporting the ELI

Dear editor and University of Pittsburgh community,

As many of you know, the English Language Institute (ELI) was granted an extension to continue offering English language classes through June 30, 2024. Thank you for your support of the ELI and your messages to University leadership that the ELI provides valuable services to the University and contributes to the Plan for Pitt in a myriad of ways. The ELI is appreciative of the opportunity to continue to serve the University, local, national, and global communities for another year.

As the director of the ELI, I now ask for your continued support as we expand our marketing efforts.  We have created a web page where you can find flyers, brochures, Powerpoint slides about the ELI and our programs, and other promotional materials: https://bit.ly/PittELI-Promotions

Please consider sharing information about ELI programs with your contacts near and far via email messages, social media, word of mouth, etc. If you are welcoming new students, staff and faculty in the fall, share information about the ELI as a resource. If you or your unit at Pitt is in need of English language services for your students, staff and faculty, please contact me.

Thank you all again for your appreciation and support of the ELI and its students, staff and faculty.

Sincerely,
Dawn E. McCormick
