Kear, Kanthak re-elected to lead Senate Council another 2 years

Robin Kear and Kristin Kanthak were re-elected as Senate Council president and vice president, after facing no opposition in the just-concluded voting.

They will serve second two-year terms, starting in July. Senate Council voted in 2021 to extend the terms to two years and allow for two consecutive terms. Kear, a liaison librarian in research and educational support, previously served as vice president and is the first librarian elected president. Kanthak is a professor in the political science department in the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences.

Faculty also were elected to several seats on Faculty Assembly. Those elected include:

The election for Senate committees runs April 27 to May 9.
