Did you know that more than 4,400 solar panels sit atop buildings on Pitt’s campus? Or that 19 of Pitt’s buildings are LEED-certified? How about that the University of Pittsburgh is a certified Bee Campus, Tree Campus and gold-rated Bike Friendly University?

The Office of Sustainability is offering a Campus Sustainability Tours from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3 highlighting the projects, places, programs, and people helping advance the 61 goals of the Pitt Sustainability Plan and Pitt Climate Action Plan.

Tours begin outside of the Office of Sustainability in Benedum Hall Suite 153 and follows an approximately 1-mile outdoor loop through lower Oakland. Comfortable walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, and weather-appropriate gear are recommended.
