The 2026 Mentoring and Advising Summit will be held virtually on March 6, 2026. Interested in presenting? The call for proposals is open. Submit a proposal to lead a workshop or lightning talk by Jan. 5.

• Workshop: A workshop is a live one-hour webinar-style session. Workshops allow time for in-depth exploration of a topic and (somewhat) active attendee engagement through chat and Q&A. A workshop must be designed so that participants learn specific strategies that can be adapted and implemented in their respective units. Note: breakout rooms will not be available in the Summit virtual platform.

• Lightning Talk: A 5-minute pre-recorded video focused on an emerging theory or an innovative strategy, tool, or approach implemented by a unit, department, or program that might be adapted by other units on campus. Presenters will be asked to pre-record and submit (in early February) their talk using a flexible format template. Lightning Talks will be uploaded to the Summit virtual platform and available for viewing throughout the conference event.
