Pitt researchers part of ‘Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar’ on June 21

Have some science questions you’ve been dying to get answered while you’re sipping your favorite legal beverage? Several Pitt scientists, along with others, will be there to help on June 21 when “Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar.”

The event, which started at the Fleet Science Center in San Diego, will put a pair of science experts in bars around Pittsburgh. Just look for the signs — “We are scientists. Ask us anything!” The first Pittsburgh “Two Scientists” event took place in December 2017.

The times vary from 4 to 6 p.m. to 7 to 9 p.m. at the 11 Pittsburgh sites; you can find them all at the website for local sponsor, the Carnegie Science Center.

Pitt scientists participating include:

  • Karen Carney, Pitt SciVelo, 5-7 p.m., Federal Galley, 200 Children's Way, North Side, Pittsburgh
  • Aparna Nigam and Madeleine Wilcox, Pitt Neuroscience, 7-9 p.m., Spring Hill Brewing, 1958 Varley St., Spring Hill, Pittsburgh
