Pitt Police will once again host a National Night Out event from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6.

Come to Schenley Plaza to interact with police officers and other members of the community.

The event will include community resources and crime prevention information, along with games, snacks, giveaways and free carousel rides.

Other organizations involved in the National Night Out at Schenley Plaza include Pitt’s Office of Engagement and Community Affairs, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Carnegie Mellon, Carlow and Point Park police, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, the Oakland Planning and Development Corp., and Oakland Business Improvement District.
