Pitt Park app now available to reserve spots in January

The Pitt Park app debuted on Dec. 15 for faculty, staff and students to begin reserving spots at select campus parking garages and lots for January.

The app, created by ParkZen, requires a Pitt Passport login, making it exclusive for faculty, staff and students. It is available for download for iOS and Android devices.

“As the Pitt community continues to grow, we’ve heard from our students, staff and faculty that they struggle to find places to park,” said Jonathan Pearson, director of mobility.  “By restricting Pitt Park to only those who have access to Pitt Passport, we hope to free up more spaces for our community members to use.”

Users can reserve a spot up to 30 days in advance at the following places (find a map of all parking locations here):

  • Posvar Garage (A Lot): $8.19

  • Panther Hollow (PH Lot): $5.85

  • OC Lot: $8.19

  • Park Plaza Lot (PK Lot): $5.85

  • Veterans (U Lot): $11.70

  • Music Building (RA Lot): $11.70

ParkMobile will remain available for off-peak parking times and the University’s metered parking lots. Existing reservations on ParkMobile will be honored.

How to use the Pitt Park App:

  1. Find Pitt Park in your mobile device’s app store and download it.

  2. Follow the prompts to set up your account.

  3. Choose your desired parking area.

  4. Pay for your reservation in advance.

  5. Your payment is linked directly to your license plate.

  6. Keep your parking confirmation on the app ready to show the attendant upon arrival (if applicable).
