The Princeton Review has ranked Pitt among the nation’s top 50 best value public colleges.

Out of more than 650 colleges and universities surveyed, Pitt landed 49th among the public Best Value Colleges with a high return on investment. The rating is based on the University’s academic strength, affordability and career prospects for graduates.

Princeton Review also ranked Pitt among the top 20 Best Schools for Making an Impact, based on student responses to questions about community service, student government, sustainability efforts and on-campus engagement.

Georgia Tech, the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina were the top three public schools on the best value list.

The rankings are the latest in a series of accolades for Pitt this year, including a “New Ivy” designation by Forbes and a top 20 ranking among U.S. universities granted utility patents.
