For the third year, Glowland is returning to Oakland for the holiday season.

The display of interactive light and art installation, along with special events and activities, will run from Nov. 22 to Dec. 14, sponsored by the Oakland Business Improvement District (OBID). This year’s installation is LED Circle Swings, which will be located at Schenley Plaza.

The three weeks of activities kick off Nov. 22 with the Glow Ball at the University Club from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The 21+ event celebrates 25 years of OBID. Tickets are $56.25 to $75 until Nov. 18.

The other signature events are free:

Celestial Choreography: A Dynamic Drone Show: 4-8 p.m. Dec. 7, Schenley Plaza.
The show, crafted by Sky Elements, will feature 250 drones lighting up the night sky. Throughout the day, Schenley Plaza will host free STEAM-focused activities for children, blending art and science. Evening entertainment includes live performances by local musicians and gravity-defying feats from stilt-walkers. The Glow Lounge will serve festive beverages and treats.

Illuminate Your Imagination: 3-7 p.m., Dec. 14, Schenley Plaza. This family-friendly event is filled with engaging STEAM activities, a music-led Glow Parade around Schenley Plaza, a glow in the dark puppet show by Pittsburgh Puppet Works, a build-your-own smores station, and other activity tables.
