This fall’s campus tree tour this fall will be held at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 18 by local nonprofit Tree Pittsburgh!
You will learn about the tree species on campus, why trees change colors in the fall, and identification techniques.

Pitt’s Tree Tender course is taught by Tree Pittsburgh and covers urban forestry practices, tree biology and health, basic tree identification, proper pruning and maintenance, and how to lead your community in organizing tree plantings and tree care.
Pitt community members can become certified for free by completing asynchronous virtual trainings and a competency quiz.
