Dietrich School recognizes 2020-22 winners of graduate mentoring award

The Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences recently held a celebration of the 2020, 2021 and 2022 winner of the school’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Mentoring.

The celebration was hosted by Jon Woon, Dietrich School’s Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, who noted that effective mentoring is more than meeting and giving advice and feedback. Good mentors see, recognize, value and validate each student as an individual; not only as a student, mentee or future scholar but as a whole person.

Those honored with the award are:

2020: Jennifer Josten (History of Art and Architecture) and Khirsten Scott (formerly English department, currently School of Education)

2021: Michele Granshaw (Theatre Arts), Rachel Bezanson (Physics and Astronomy)

2022: Cory Holding (English) and Jamie Hanson (Psychology)
