Virtual art gallery highlights mental health awareness

Submissions are still being accepted for a Mental Health Awareness Month virtual art gallery, sponsored by the Center for Creativity and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) at Pitt.

Submissions will be accepted for “Putting Mind into Matter: An Art Exhibit on Mental Health & Creativity” throughout October, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. Click here to submit a work for the gallery.

The gallery can be seen on the Center for Creativity website, along with  video interviews on creativity and mental health and a list of mental health resources on campus. The gallery will remain online until the end of the semester.

The month of activities also includes:

University Counseling Center Virtual Open House, 5-6 p.m. Oct. 26: Learn about how to schedule an appointment and other resources, while getting to know the counselor. Register here.

Build Your Support System, 7-8 p.m. Oct. 29. Mental health student leaders will discuss how to join their organizations and what they are doing to support Pitt’s students. Register here.
