Two parking spots allotted to combat-wounded veterans at Soldiers & Sailors Garage

Parking spotsThe Pitt Parking Office, in partnership with Wounded Warriors Family Support, is allotting two parking spaces in the Soldiers & Sailors Garage to combat wounded veterans.

The spots, which are on the first level to the left of the guard booth, were dedicated on Nov. 9.

The spaces are not free, but can be utilized by any wounded combat veteran, whether a lease holder or a transient parker.

All combat wounded parking signs are intended for the sole purpose of designating parking spaces for combat wounded veterans.  They are erected according to the same local guidelines that apply to similar handicap parking signs, according to Anna Martz, marketing and communications manager for Parking, Transportation & Services.
