Sign up by March 21 for next week’s Be a Good Neighbor Day

Pitt will mark Be A Good Neighbor Day on March 26. Staff, faculty and students can sign up for a variety of projects through March 21.

More than 20 projects are available, including:

  • Help Friends of South Side Park prepare land for tree planting.

  • Pack up Family House’s University Club location, which will be closing on March 25 as a part of Family House's transition to their new, consolidated location in Bloomfield.

  • Prepare a site in Garfield for construction of a trail by removing debris, old fence, and invasive species with the Bloomfield Garfield Corp.

  • Create Safe Sleep Survival Kits for clients of Cribs for Kids and help renovate their office space with some painting, dusting, light cleaning, and organizing supplies.

  • Assist with wrapping and repackaging baby diapers and period products, as well as reorganizing warehouse space for the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank.

  • Paint wooden stakes to mark a new riverfront trail along the Allegheny as it develops as part of the Allegheny RiverTrail Park.
