Sharon Flake headlines Greensburg’s Children’s Literature Conference

Sharon G. Flake, author of The Skin I’m In” and its sister novel “The Life I’m In,” will be the featured speaker at this year’s Pitt-Greensburg Children's Literature Conference on April 13.

The free event will be virtual again this year at 6 p.m. via Zoom. Register here. The planning for an in-person 2023 conference is underway.  

“The Life I’m In” is a 2021 finalist for the Kirkus Prize and has been named a top 10 book of the year by ALA and Kirkus.

“The Skin I’m In” has sold almost 2 million copies worldwide and has been translated into numerous languages, most recently Italian. The novel is required reading in classrooms and communities around the globe. 

Since its publication, Flake has authored over a dozen books, winning multiple Coretta Scott King Honor Awards and an NAACP Image Award nomination, among many accolades. For more information on Flake, visit her website.
