To help address the issues related to chronic health concerns such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, excess weight, high blood pressure, and arthritis, the University of Pittsburgh is offering a new wellness opportunity called Pivio, the Complete Health Improvement Program.

All full- and part-time regular faculty and staff with UPMC Health Plan coverage that meet certain health criteria are eligible for the program. Interested participants will meet with a UPMC Health Coach prior to the start of the program for program onboarding and review. There is no cost to participate in the program.

Pivio is a proven lifestyle education program that focuses on plant-based eating, physical activity, stress reduction, mindfulness training, and positive psychology. The program helps individuals make positive health changes that lead to reduced medication use, weight loss, and improved cholesterol and blood glucose levels. Learn more about Pivio and how it works.
