In Brief: #PittWellness on Instagram, Farm Fresh Foods on Campus

Show Your #PittWellness on Instagram

The Office of Human Resources has created an Instagram page and wants faculty and staff to share your wellness.

To help promote the Wellness for Life program at Pitt, OHR is starting an Instagram challenge using the Dimensions of Wellness:

  1. Pick up a wellness tip and a temporary tattoo at the MyHealth@Work health and wellness center (3708 Fifth Ave., Suite 505), in Craig Hall on the Pittsburgh campus or contact OHR so that they can send wellness tips to your department.
  2. Then, upload a picture of your Dimension of Wellness while you perform a related wellness activity to Instagram and share it with OHR by using the hashtag #PittWellness.
  3. Make sure that you’re following @pitt_hr on Instagram.

Participants will be entered for a chance to win a gift card to The University Store on Fifth. The Pitt Wellness challenge runs through July 1. You can find rules, information and wellness tip locations on the human resources website.

Farmers Markets and Fresh Deliveries to Campus

Support local farmers and participate in the University-sponsored Farms to Pitt program this spring. Farms to Pitt delivers fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy products to University faculty and staff at designated locations on campus. Subscribers pay a one-time fee and choose the products they would like delivered to them on a weekly basis through October. You can find more information on the Farms to Pitt program on the Isidore Foods website or by calling 412-400-4721.

The Farmer’s Market at Pitt has dates scheduled through June on the Pitt campus. Stop by the William Pitt Union driveway for fresh produce, roasted coffee, cheese, baked goods and more, all from local vendors. Farmers markets will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 10, May 24, June 7 and June 21.
