W-2s and IRS health insurance forms available online

The Payroll Department announced in 2021 that employees have the option to receive their W-2 forms (IRS wage and tax statement) electronically. This year, an option has been added for active employees to access their W-2s via mobile devices.

If you enrolled for a paperless W-2 last year, you don’t need to do anything. If you have not already enrolled to receive your W-2 electronically, you can do so for 2022 by Dec. 31, 2022. Visit the Payroll Department’s website for more information, including instructions about how to opt-in to receive electronic W-2s. A Pitt password is required.

Please note that you only need to opt in once. Your consent will remain in effect until you choose to withdraw your consent.

If you have any questions, please submit an inquiry and select:

University employees also now have the option to receive their 1095-C form electronically. This form details what months you were offered employer-provided health insurance and when you were covered. To register, you must provide consent. This action can be taken any time during the year.
