Those working from home can put parking permits on hold

Parking permit holders who are not returning to campus in September can once again put their permit on pause and not be charged for the month.

If you would like to put a hold on your permit, complete the Faculty/Staff Permit Payroll Deduction Request Form by Sept. 3 to ensure it is processed for the upcoming month. Phone and email requests cannot be accepted at this time.

Putting your permit on hold does not mean you lose your permit, nor does it mean you will be placed on the waitlist for parking permits. If you choose to place your permit on hold, you will not be required to return your permit. But if you come to campus in September, your permit will not be valid.

Pitt employees who are approved to return to the Oakland campus, but do not have a parking permit can now park at a variety of campus lots and garages for a daily rate of $5.

The areas are available in the OC lot on Allequippa Street, O’Hara Parking Garage, Ruskin Hall lot, Posvar Hall Garage, University Drive lot, Panther Hollow lot, Soldiers & Sailors Parking Garage and McKee Place lot. Find a map of campus parking locations here

The $5 daily fee will need to be paid through the ParkMobile App. Cash payments will not be accepted. To utilize the ParkMobile app, following the instructions detailed below:
