Nominations open for Chancellor’s Awards for Staff

Nominations are due by April 9 for the 2020-2021 Chancellor’s Awards for Staff. The awards recognize staff members for performances that have consistently exceeded the standards and expectations of their position, and who also have made a significant impact on the University.

The Chancellor’s Awards for Staff are the highest honors Pitt grants to classified and union staff members. Up to nine awards will be granted this year. The categories include: Student Impact, Research Support, Innovation in Advancing Administrative and Operational Efficiency, University Engagement, Community Engagement, Outstanding Career Achievement, Exceptional Early Career Achievement, Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award, and Excellent Mentor Award.

Award recipients each will receive a $2,500 cash prize and have their names added to a plaque displayed in the William Pitt Union.

Nominate a colleague by submitting an electronic form via the Office of Human Resources website. The deadline for submitting nominations is April 9, 2021.

Due to the pandemic’s effect on the number of applications, the awards were not offered in 2020. If you submitted a nomination last year and wish to renominate a colleague, you must resubmit all application materials for consideration this year.
