Lecture spotlight: Logic, Truth, Objecthood and Tom Ricketts’ work

An in-person conference — Logic, Truth, Objecthood: A Celebration of Tom Ricketts' Work in the History of Analytic Philosophy — will be held Sept. 16 to celebrate the work of Professor Ricketts on the occasion of his retirement.

Ricketts joined the Department of Philosophy in fall 2005. He previously held faculty appointments at Northwestern University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University. His research interests focus on the development of analytic philosophy, especially Frege, Russell, Wittgenstein, Carnap and Quine.

The event will start at 8:15 a.m. in Cathedral of Learning 1008 and will end with a reception at 5 p.m. in the Braun Room on the Cathedral's 12th floor.
