Interviews of finalists for Dean of Students to take place next week

Finalist interviews in the search for a new dean of students will begin the week of June 7.

The national search process is “forging ahead,” said Marc Harding, vice provost for enrollment and chair for the national search committee.

After the virtual finalist interviews are finished up, the committee hopes to make recommendations to Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kenyon Bonner by the third week of June.

In February, the University announced that it was reorganizing the scope of Student Affairs to better serve the needs of Pitt’s regional campuses.

As a part of this reorganization, Bonner will take on a new role with University leadership as vice provost for student affairs and step away from his role as dean of students. He will stay in his current position until he selects his successor.
