Green Stormwater Infrastructure Walking Tour planned

Pittsburgh's Green Infrastructure Network, alongside Pitt’s planning, facilities, grounds and sustainability teams will lead a Green Stormwater Infrastructure Walking Tour of the Oakland campus on May 24, open to anyone.

Participants will learn about existing and future green stormwater infrastructure on campus.

The tour will start at 10 a.m. on the Cathedral of Learning patio facing Heinz Chapel and visit the Cathedral lawn reconstruction and rain garden, Schenley Plaza, Schenley Quad, William Pitt Union Plaza and Bigelow Boulevard.

A lunch and learn session will follow the tour with discussions from Green Infrastructure Network, Gateway Engineers and Pitt officials, as well as the group of Pitt students who placed second in the 2021 U.S. EPA RainWorks Challenge master plan category.

Registration is required and can be completed here.
