Classes for faculty at Teaching and Learning Center continue through Aug. 1

The spring term may be over, but there’s still plenty to be learned at the Teaching and Learning Center.

Classes and workshops for faculty will continue through Aug. 1, and of course, will resume during the fall semester.

Some of the classes on the agenda for the summer include:

Mental Health First Aid USA Course Training: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 14. Open to faculty and staff.

Teaching International Students: 10:30 a.m.-noon June 19 or 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. July 24

Preventing & Monitoring Cheating and Plagiarism: 10:30 a.m.-noon July 25

There also will be three workshops titled Becoming a Grading Guru with each focusing on a different topic. The classes will be from 1-2:30 p.m. on consecutive weeks in June — The Grading Process & Providing Effective Feedback, June 12; Designing Rubrics, June 18; and Designing Better Test Questions, June 25.
