Celebrate Pitt basketball on special deal days Jan. 4 and 5

The first weekend of 2020 is the time for Pitt basketball, particularly if you’re a University employee.

Educator Appreciation Day

All educators, University employees and their families can attend the Jan. 4 men’s basketball game against Wake Forest for $20; regular tickets are $25 to $35. The Educator Appreciation game is at noon in the Petersen Events Center. At the conclusion of the game, all fans with a discounted special ticket can get their picture taken at center court.

Friends, family and neighbors

The Pitt Friends, Family and Neighbors Day will be on Jan. 5, when Pitt women’s basketball takes on Boston College at 2 p.m. in the Petersen Events Center. Doors will open at noon.

The event will feature food, games and activities for the entire family, and free T-shirts for children 12 and under (while supplies last). Admission to the game and parking in the OC lot will be free.

Participants must pick up tickets in the Pitt Program Council office, located in the William Pitt Union, Room M-30. Tickets can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20 and Jan. 2 and 3.
