Two webinars planned to help with open enrollment

The Office of Human Resources will host two live webinars for any Pitt employee who wants to learn more about open enrollment and the benefits available at Pitt.

  • 9-10 a.m. May 14

  • 1-2 p.m. May 20

Participants will have a chance to ask questions at the webinars. Registration is required and can be accessed here. The open enrollment period will run from May 11 to 29 for everyone covered by Pitt’s medical plans. If you do not want to make any changes, your current selections remain in effect for the new plan year.

There are no University-directed changes in the Pitt medical plans, but medical rates will increase by 3.4 percent. For instance, those enrolled in the Panther Gold program would see rate increases or $2 per month for individual coverage and up to $14 per month for families. Dental and vision plan designs and rates remain unchanged. Life insurance rates also are not changing.

A summary of the benefits for July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, can be found here.

One new benefit this year is legal services, provided through PittPerks by MetLife, for $17 a month. The plan offers unlimited access to a network of attorneys on a wide range of legal matters, including, but not limited to: estate planning, real estate matters, identity theft defense, family law and consumer protection.
