Student mentoring, mental health included in faculty development workshops

The spring professional development workshops for faculty, sponsored by the provost’s office, will focus on three very different topics.

Feb. 3: Innovative Assessment of Doctoral Student Mentoring — Making it Happen, with a faculty panel moderated by Nathan Urban, vice provost for Graduate Studies and Strategic Initiatives. Register here

March 2: Effective Faculty Performance Reviews, with Tara Harper O'Connor, associate legal counsel, and David Lebel, assistant professor of Organizations and Entrepreneurship. Register here

April 6: Accommodating Students Whose Mental Health Interferes with Class Participation and Task Accomplishment, with a faculty panel moderated by Linda Tashbook, foreign international comparative law librarian. Register here

Each of the sessions will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at 211 Lawrence Hall. A lunch of wraps (including a vegetarian option) and packaged snacks (pretzels/chips/granola bars) will be provided, but participants may bring their own lunch if they prefer.
