Pitt ID cards now must be replaced remotely; upload photos online

Like many operations at Pitt, the process to get a new Pitt ID is moving online, effective immediately, for faculty, staff and students, according to Panther Central.

Any photos for either new, lost or renewed Panther Cards must be pre-submitted through the online submission portal. Cards will be mailed to the address that is on file with the University.

If you lose your Panther Card:

  • Report the loss to Panther Central, which can create a new card using the old photo on file. Replacement cards cost $20 and should be paid for by loading Panther Funds onto your card remotely.

  • If you require a new card quickly due to access issues, an immediate replacement will be generated, which may be paid for using Panther Funds or credit card.

  • If you would like a new photo, submit one via the online portal.

If your Panther Card is expiring in the next 60 days:

  • A new card can be issued with the same photo. Please request a new Panther Card via email, chat or phone.

  • If you would like a new photo, submit one via the online portal.

Panther Central’s modified office hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Friday. Contact Panther Central by phone at 412-648-1100, email at panthercentral@pitt.edu or online. Walk-ins to the office in the Litchfield Towers lobby are not available at this time.
