Sowa, a physical medicine and rehabilitation professor, chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and professor of orthopaedic surgery, of bioengineering, and of clinical and translational science, will deliver a Provost’s Inaugural Lecture.

Christian Sands, creative ambassador for the Erroll Garner Jazz Project, will play and discuss Erroll Garner's music, jazz piano orchestration and more. Listen as "the man for whom the piano was invented" (Newsweek) is reimagined by one of the most talented and promising artists of this generation. Pitt’s University Library System will be exhibiting materials from the Erroll Garner Archives.
