Lawrence Feick named interim associate dean for Business Administration

Lawrence Feick, who has served in a variety of roles at Pitt since joining the business faculty in 1982, will step in as interim associate dean of the College of Business Administration for the next two years.

Lawrence FeickProfessor Anthony Rodi, who served as interim associate dean for the past year, will return to teaching full-time this fall.

Since December 2019, Feick, a professor of Business Administration, has been interim director of Executive Education at Pitt Business.

In addition to his contributions to Pitt Business, Feick has served as the University’s senior international officer, as vice provost, and, most recently, as the interim president of Pitt–Bradford and Pitt–Titusville.

Courses that he has designed and taught include the large-section Introduction to Marketing and the Plus3–Germany study abroad program. His research focus is in marketing. His writing has focused on consumer information search, international marketing, word-of-mouth influence, and the analysis of categorical data.

Feick has extensive experience in executive teaching and consulting, including work with COFCO Foods, Samsung Electronics, Audi, and Cheil Communications. He is the author of an international marketing simulation game and has developed and taught train-the-trainers program on the use of simulations, games, and case studies in teaching marketing.
