Join Chris Bonneau for a Coffee Shop Talk on the 2020 presidential election

Chris Bonneau, professor of Political Science and president of the University Senate, will host a special edition of Coffee Shop Talks — an online forum started in the spring — on Oct. 27, focusing on the 2020 presidential election.

Guess panelists for the hour-long discussion will be Marc Hetherington, professor of Political Science, University of North Carolina; Kristin Kanthak, associate professor of Political Science at Pitt; and Clarissa Peterson, professor of Political Science, DePauw University.

They will discuss the presidential candidates and their political parties' platforms, along with the issues affecting the race such as the COVID-19 pandemic, health care, education, racial inequality and the Supreme Court.  This session will allow for in-depth discussion between the panelists and questions submitted from the viewing audience.

The Coffee Shop Talk will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 27. Space for this session is limited in order to allow for discussion and interaction. Registration is required. Register here.

If the session reaches capacity, you can email spevents@pitt.edu to be added to the wait list.
