If you were leading a Pitt tour, what would you include?

Ornate windows in Honors College

My daughter and I recently took the official campus tour led by Pitt Pathfinders. And while the Cathedral of Learning Common Room and massive Posvar Hall are obviously must-sees, I thought there were several other spots on campus that new students, staff and faculty should check out to get a real flavor of Pitt.

I made sure my daughter and her friend, who will be high school seniors this fall, saw the newly renovated fourth floor of Hillman Library and the beautifully ornate 35th and 36th floors of the Cathedral of Learning — home to the Pitt Honors College — where you also can get some of the best views of Oakland.

What special spots would you recommend to campus newcomers?
