Registration is now open for Staff Council’s annual Staff Spring Assembly, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, in the O’Hara Student Center.
Set under the theme “Staff Empowerment,” breakout sessions will be presented by representatives from:
- Be Fit Pitt (“Ex Out Stress – Using Exercise to Reduce Stress”)
- Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Title IX Office (“Campus Advocacy and the Responsible Employee”)
- Steimer Counseling & Consulting, who presented on campus in 2017 about coping with stress (“Mindfulness & Health-based Empowerment”)
- University of Pittsburgh Police (“Personal, Facility and Campus Safety Awareness”)
The assembly will feature keynote remarks from Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and Audrey Murell, associate dean of the College of Business Administration and director of the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership.
The assembly also includes lunch and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the University. In addition, the recipient of the 2018 Staff Professional Development Award in Honor of Ronald W. Frisch, retired associate vice chancellor for Human Resources, will be announced.
