Bike to Work on May 20 to wrap up week of activities

Bike to Work Day on May 20 will wrap up a week of activities in Pittsburgh for Bike Anywhere Week.

Commuter café pop-ups will be set up from 7 to 11 a.m. May 20 at Schenley Plaza, Market Square and SouthSide Works. The cafes, hosted by Bike PGH and its community partners, will have free biscuits and coffee, courtesy of Square One Cafe, for anyone who arrives by bike. There also will be surprise membership giveaways, along with educational resources for cyclists.

Bike Share Pittsburgh’s new POGOH fleet will be offering free unlimited 30 minute trips on May 20. A Confident City Cycling Class will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. May 19 at the Pitt Bike Cave.

Other activities throughout the week include: Women and non-binary ice cream ride on May 16; a bike light giveaway on May 17; and a ride of silence on May 18 to honor bicyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling. Find the full list of activities on the BikePGH website.
