Be a Good Neighbor Day of service coming on March 28

Registration is open now for students, staff and faculty to participate in the Office of PittServes’ annual Be a Good Neighbor Day on March 28.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the William Pitt Union and serve at their project site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch and t-shirts will be provided by the PittServes.

While the structure of Pitt Be A Good Neighbor Day will be similar to large days of the past, PittServes said it is dedicated to making this signature day focused on the theme of neighborhoods and the concept of being a “good neighbor.” Volunteers will be working alongside neighborhood residents on projects that focus on civic engagement and enhancing the collaborative power of community service.

PittServes is hoping to sign up 300 volunteers. Register here. The address and directions to the volunteer project will be sent by e-mail after you sign up.
