Annual reports detail mean and median salaries for staff, faculty

By DONOVAN HARRELL

Robert Goga, director of the Office of Institutional Research, presented the annual report on mean and median salaries for full-time Pitt employees to the Senate Budget Policies Committee on April 17.

The report, based on salaries as of Oct. 31, 2018, is organized by school, position and reporting unit.

It shows the mean and median salaries of all regular, non-temporary, full-time employees that were faculty and staff as of Oct. 31, 2018, Goga said. Research and postdoctoral associates aren’t included in the report.

The salary pool for full-time employees saw increases ranging from 2 to 2.5 percent. Employees earning a salary of $47,638 or less saw a “maintenance increase” of 2.5 percent. The inflation rate was roughly 1.9 percent.
