2019 Pitt Weight Race registration runs through Feb. 4

The Pitt Weight Race will officially kick off on Feb. 4, so you have until then to get signed up through UPMC MyHealth Access.

The annual health campaign runs through April 26 and can provide the extra motivation, support and resources to help you reach your goal.

To register, go to my.pitt.edu, then under My Resources, go to UPMC Health Plan and click on MyHealth Access. The Weight Race portal should be right at the top of the page.

You’ll set a weight loss goal for the eight weeks of the program. Once you’re registered, you’ll be directed to the 2019 Weight Race page, where you can record your weight, join a Weight Race Facebook group, and get tips and recipes.

Participants also will get a weekly quiz question via email related to weight loss, which once you answer will bring you to the Weight Race page. All weights are self-reported and confidential.

Those who complete the Weight Race will get a $25 Wellness for Life reward, as long as it doesn’t exceed your 2019 plan maximum.
